![]() My monthly contribution to the magazine was titled “Stuff, stuff and more stuff” by Capt. I was a monthly column writer with “Full Throttle Magazine”. On Thursday nights I ran my own bike night at Kahunas Bar and Grille across from the dog track on Gandy Blvd. Eventually I became old enough to ride a Harley and made Biff Burgers my Wednesday and Saturday home. Petersburg and loved their shakes and pulled pork sandwiches. Additionally, the Musser’s claim the business has scaled back on wait staff and shrunk the restaurant’s menu and that the restaurant “is deteriorating both physically and in patronage and reputation.”įor years I never missed a Wednesday or Saturday Bike Night at Biff Burgers. The lawsuit lays out a series of payment defaults to vendors and claims the financial stewardship of Biff Burger has been so bad some vendors have refused to supply the business even on a cash-on-demand basis. The property and restaurant would be sold to the highest bidder at auction if the foreclosure goes through and the new owners would then have to decide whether to keep the restaurant open, according to the Musser family attorney Howard Ross. Since then, the lawsuit alleges the family has missed payments on the $600,000 mortgage for which the Musser’s still hold the note. On Friday nights, proud car owners line up with their supped up Ford Mustangs and old school Chevy Camaros, among others.īut the aging couple sold the business in 2015 to Raphael Prezioso and his family for an undisclosed sum. The Musser’s kept their Biff Burger, which is an acronym for “best in fast food,” and it has been a staple of the hot rod and classic car community for decades. The historic burger and barbecue spot opened in 1960 as part of a pretty large chain that later disintegrated after Burger King bought most of the franchises. The restaurant’s former owners, George and Sandra Musser, are suing to foreclose on the property and restaurant because the new owners are defaulting on payments. Petersburg could be closing if the stars don’t align for the longtime classic burger joint on 49th Street near 38th Avenue North. I would not reccommend going to biff burger. The iconic Biff Burger in St. I wished we would have went to mcdonalds right near Biff. So the reason we didnt eat them is because they need to CHANGE THE GREASE. We had tots and fries and could not eat them and the server didnt ask why. My husband ordered a 1/4 pound bacon deluxe ( no bacon of course) We laughed when it arrived. It arrived and the disappointment was overwhelming it was the size of a mcdonalds cheeseburger. Meaning they had DIRT all over them. The server did not offer to wipe it down so I had to ask. We thought about leaving (should have) they had no. There was one server and she was also the bartender. This disappoints me to write this review after going here for over 15 years. My husband and i arrived and waited quite a while for our drinks. It’s sad to see that a St Pete staple is on the decline, and with a dwindling clientele you would think they would nurture ties with the community but instead, he soured our view of Biff’s Burgers forever. I would have gladly had a decent conversation with him and continued to patron this restaurant but after that exchange, I (and everyone I know) will never go back there. Owner or not, this is NOT how to treat people in your community. He was a heavy-set middle-aged man with black/brown hair in a light-colored SUV. If I unjustly yelled at someone and their mother, I would be embarrassed too. I asked for his name and he hesitated and stubbled before saying he was the owner “John Sharp”, which I assume is probably an alias. First of all, do not blame me for the irresponsible actions of other pet owners and secondly, there is a way to convey your message without attacking people who are just CROSSING the parking lot. Huh? I was genuinely confused and thought he has joking but he continued “You people walk your dogs on my property and don’t clean up after they go to the bathroom!!!”. rolled down his window and yelled “You can’t be on my property with your dog!” I was on my usual morning walk with my mother and dog crossing the Biff’s Burger parking lot when an SUV started following us. We used to frequent this place but after this morning’s experience, I will NEVER EVER spend another dollar here.
